The Dongbu Group¡¯s administration philosophy is to become an ¡°Excellent Company.¡± Creating an ¡°Excellent Company¡± was the ideal that Chairman Jun-Ki Kim established upon founding Miryung Construction Co., Ltd. (presently known as Dongbu Corporation) in 1969 at the age of 24. It has since become the major administration philosophy of the current Dongbu Group, and is the objective of all Dongbu employees.

The term ¡°Excellent Company¡± refers to a company that is ¡°superior¡± in administration, a ¡°good workplace¡± for its employees, and is a ¡°trusted company¡± in society.

1) A Superior Company
A superior company has high market values and is future-oriented after evenly establishing high profitability, rapid growth, fluent circulation, and future-oriented management through sustainable administrative innovation. To become a superior company, a company must maximize its administration efficiency by concentrating its resources at the right place at the right time, and must continuously innovate against conventional structures.

2) A Good Workplace
A good workplace provides good compensation, a pleasant working environment, moral treatment, and long-term, stable employment. In return, a good workplace has employees who are willing to devote their fullest efforts with faith and trust in the company, pride and dignity in their work, and love for their fellow workers.

3) A Trusted Company
A trusted company provides more job opportunities through constant growth, contributes to higher living standards, and fulfills its social duties, such as reducing social costs in the environment, to earn the greater trust of its customers. Also, a trusted company demonstrates superior company ethics based on transparent and reasonable management and social responsibility.

The ¡°Spirit of the Dongbu Family¡± is the motto and the philosophy of all the Dongbu employees to fulfill Dongbu¡¯s principle as an ¡°Excellent Company.¡±

1) Order
Order is vital in maintaining an organization. To Dongbu employees, order refers to an active consent to the rules and principles of the organization of the Dongbu Group in realizing its ideals as an ¡°Excellent Company,¡± and the understanding of their roles and actions to follow the procedure and consequences to attain efficiency without selfishness and blind fame.

2) Trust
Trust exists as the faith among fellow Dongbu employees, and their promise to their customers and the society as a whole. To Dongbu employees, trust is the power over all the activities of Dongbu, including productions and services, social activities, and philosophies, to obtain favorable reputation and awareness from customers and the society based on the mutual trust between the company and its employees.

3) Love
Love is the driving force that brings an organization together, and the principle of understanding and tolerance. Love and trust resemble two sides of a coin. Something that is not trusted cannot be loved, and something that is not loved cannot be trusted. The love of Dongbu employees drives them to achieve the ultimate goal of Dongbu ? that is, becoming an ¡°Excellent Company.¡±

The Dongbu Group's employees are required to act in compliance with the Code of Conduct set by the Company concerning their attitude, mindset and way of handling company business based on the corporate philosophy.

1) The Company's Priority Principle
Dongbu employees are expected to deal with their assignments with objective and rational attitude, keeping in mind the business founder's emphasis that individual employees' prosperity is dependent on the Company's prosperity. Thus, the Company expects employees to have a firm ownership mindset and put the Company's interest before their own.

2) The Attitude of Seeking Improvement
Dongbu employees should always be ready to cope with changes in the management environment and do their best to play a leading role in innovations. They should strive to find ways to enhance work performance and take a corrective step for what appears to be not right.

3) Continued Efforts for Self Management
Dongbu employees should always make efforts for self management, trying to set examples for others to fellow in work motivation, building expertise in their areas of specialty, relationship with others and family members and health management, keeping in mind that self management is the basis for managing others and that they can contribute to the prosperity of the Company through continued self management based on integrity.
