Dongbu has prepared to become a world-class company by strategically reorganizing its business structures. It has actively executed its future businesses since the mid-1990s. On this basis, it has officially started executing administrative innovation in 2002 to realize its ¡°Excellent Company¡± vision.

The basic strategy of administrative innovation is to become a constantly profitable company by realizing ¡¸full participation high efficiency spontaneous administration¡¹ based on ¨ç excellent human resources, and ¨è outstanding and ¨é progressive company culture. For this purpose, Dongbu has strategically been intensifying and developing its systematic and achievement-oriented administration.

Dongbu Group divided its administration into four business sectors - ¨ç Materials, ¨è Chemicals, ¨é Construction Logistics, and ¨ê Finances, and has been pursuing a more professional and advanced administration by intensifying a spontaneous and responsible administration with separately affiliated corporations and business sectors.

We have firmly laid our roots in stable administration and surplus in each business sector and realized business infrastructures in future strategic industries, including secondary batteries, IT new materials, and bioengineering that will lead the ultra-modern industry with high value added in the near future along with the semiconductor business.

Dongbu Steel normalized the operations of Asanman plant¡¯s latest investment within the shortest period of time to become world¡¯s leading steel company with competence in unit prices, and expand its business domain to the new material industry.

The semiconductor business combined with Dongbu Electronics and Anam Semiconductors to become the world¡¯s fourth best, specialized foundry in non-memory semiconductor production. It has reformed its investment and development system for ultra-modern, next-generation processes that exceed the synergy effect brought about by integration.

Its chemical field has established its international competency as Korea¡¯s best general agricultural chemical company, focusing on Dongbu Hannong Chemical, and has been leading the bioengineering field in the development of new medicines and new materials.

The construction and logistics field of Dongbu has generated high value added based on high technological power and differentiated services to become a superior construction and logistics company that is trusted by its customers.

The finances field has been based on the synergy effect of insurance, securities, trust investment, banking, and capital to make its total financial service system official as a general financial group.


 2005 / Spontaneous/professional administration systems for four business sectors were established: - Materials, Chemicals, Construction Logistics, Finances
 2004 / Dongbu Anam Semiconductor was established. (Dongbu Electronics and Anam Semiconductors were merged.)
A progressive company culture based on core values was introduced. (¡°I¡¯m powered by Dongbu¡± was realized.)
Six-Sigma Administrative Innovation was declared.
 2003 / Dongbu Information was established.
(Three companies - Dongbu DIS, Dongbu Information Technology, and Dongbu FIS - were merged, and re-named Dongbu Information Technology.)
Dongbu Finecell was established. (Finecell was purchased to penetrate into the secondary battery business.)
Dongbu World was established.
 2002 / Administration innovation for ¡¸full participation, high efficiency spontaneous administration¡¹ was declared.
Dongbu Financial Center was completed.
Anam Semiconductors was purchased.
